A tankless water heater is fine for some people. It doesn't do well in many applications. A tankless unit does not store heated water; it heats water seconds before it is needed. It is a space saver, and is energy efficient. It is not "instant hot", however additional options can give you hot water "on-demand". We offer free estimates to assist you in determining size, location, venting, gas and electrical requirements.
Our basic warranty consists of the manufacture's standard limited warranty which usually covers the water heater tank against leakage for 6 years and labor for 1 year. We can extend the manufacture's water heater standard limited warranty for a period of 10, 12 and lifetime for an additional fee.
Water heater installations are mostly governed by the Uniform Plumbing Code (the "UPC:), National Electrical Code (the "NEC") and the Uniform Mechanical Code (the "UMC"). In addition, each city and county jurisdiction has their own interpretation of the various codes and how they will be applied. We keep current regarding the code requirements in the area in which you live. It is our policy to convey the code requirements during your initial phone call and again when we provide you the price for the installation of your water heater
Thermal expansion occurs when water is heated, expands with no place to go (closed system). This causes an increase in pressure which in turn can cause damage to your water heater. The solution is the installation of a "thermal expansion tank" that is installed on your cold water line. As water expands, it pushes into the expansion tank giving the increased volume of water a place to go preventing rapid pressure increase due to thermal expansion.
Every water heater tank has a label known as a "rating plate" which contains among other information, the model and serial number of the water heater. This serial number will provide us with the month and year the water heater was manufactured.
